12- Foreshadowing in Manga and Comics.
Hello manga and comic book lovers!

Today, we are going to talk about a technique that enhances the immense depth and allure of stories: ‘Foreshadowing’.

This concept, which we can translate into English as 'foreseeing' or 'hints of the future', is actually about giving little clues and signs about the events that will occur in the later parts of the story. In short, it's the magical wand that allows authors to show us the future in their stories!

This technique is frequently used, especially in mangas. We can find beautiful examples of how foreshadowing is used in legendary works like ‘One Piece’ and ‘Naruto’.

In One Piece, the author Eiichiro Oda has used foreshadowing many times since the beginning of the story. If you remember, the words that Shanks said while giving his hat to Luffy were actually giving us clues about the events that would occur later.

"Return this hat to me when you become a better pirate than us."

In Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto is also quite successful in foreshadowing. Sasuke leaving his village and embarking on the path of revenge gains meaning with small hints dropped at the beginning of the series.

Foreshadowing provides exciting clues about future events to the reader early in the story and helps to pique their curiosity. It also makes the story more layered and profound, causing readers to want to read the work over and over again, perhaps to catch some details they missed!
In conclusion, foreshadowing is a wonderful technique that makes the magical world of manga and comic books even richer and more attractive. So, what are the foreshadowing examples you have noticed and liked? Feel free to share!
